Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (Pima) has condemned killing of polio workers in Karachi and Peshawar during current national immunisation campaign that begun in the country on Monday. Dr Misbahul Aziz, Pima President in a statement on Wednesday said the unfortunate incident has deepened the sense of insecurity among the medical community and this must be addressed on urgent basis.

"Abduction of doctors and at times their killings was being noticed for quite some and this coupled with killings of community health workers during past two days has aggravated the situation," he said.
